Bryan O'Loghlen

Sir Bryan O'Loghlen was the 13th Premier of Victoria, Australia between 1881 and 1883.

He choose the slogan, "peace, prosperity, progress"

He was from the famous O'Loghlen family of the north west of County Clare.  His grandfather had been known as the 1st Baronet  (Uk Life Peer) and he inherited the title as 3rd Baronet.

He was born in 1828 and educated at Oxford and at Trinity College Dublin.

He hoped to become a railway engineer but during the slump in 1849, he returned to Drumconora to assist on the family estate.
