Francis John Garvey

Francis John Garvey son of Patrick Garvey, Ennis and Anne (nee Foley from Corofin was born on Jail Street, Ennis on July 29th 1873.  His Dad, Patrick was son of James Garvey and Marie (nee Healy) from Ballyea.  

His Mom, Anne was daughter to Patrick Foley and Ellen Hartigan.

Francis emigrated to the USA in 1896 through Boston and then on to Chicago where he stayed with his cousin from Ennis - Margaret Garvey Sargisson.  He worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad for $3 per week and then took a job at a Chicago South Side Refinery, shovelling ice for $4 per week.

John Guinane

John Guinane was born approximately 1863 and travelled to New York City around 1890.

He married Ellen Hourihan from County Cork and lived in Elmira.

They had 6 children.

William Guinane born in 1896 - later had 7 daughters and 2 sons.

Mary Guinane born and died in 1898.

John Guinane born in 1899 and died in 1924.

Leo Guinane born in 1901 - father of Toni Guinane Mason  (thank you for photo)

Elmer born in 1904 - had two daughters.

Eileen born in 1907.

Fiona O'Loughlin

Fiona O'Loughlin studied drama over 8 years at the Ennis School of Performing Arts.  She graduated from the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts after 2 busy years which gave her the opportunity to work with many talented actors.  The recent production that she was involved in - an off off Broadway play called Seventeen Come Sunday, was written and directed by Bryan McHaffey.  It was set in the west of Ireland.
