Dr. Thomas Cusack

Dr. Thomas Cusack was born in Kilkee in 1884.  He was educated in Blackrock and University College Dublin and afterwards received a medical degree from New York University and Bellevue Medical School.

He was a widely known psychiatrist and neurologist for more than 50 years.  He testified in many famous trials such as the Ruth-Snyder-Henry Judd Gray trial in 1927 and the trial for the kidnap/murder of baby Peter Weinberger.  He was physician to the Claremen's Association for 20 years.  He was married to Mary Clune (Mae), daughter of Brian Clune and niece of John Clune, the first President of the Claremen's Association.

He also found time to be President of the New York Rugby Club and was a member of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick, the Irish Historical Society and the New York Athletic Club.

His son Howard Clune Cusack married Madeline Anne Blake
