Tom F Meaney

Tom was famous for arranging a legendary football game between the visitors from Coolmeen - a parish in County Clare and a local New York side in the 1980s.  The roving Coolmeen team enjoyed great hospitality in New York and some of them stayed for quite a while.  He was a carpenter - his son Jack became a US Marine and is currently with the New York Fire Department - son Tom manages events and entertainment for the National Hockey League.
